LOGISTICS OPERATIONS

OPERATIONS:
The Operation Section is responsible for dealing with the basic inmate needs. It encompasses laundry services and supplies. It is also a liaison with contract services such as commissary and kitchen operations. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Operations Sergeant.

WORK RELEASE:
The Work Release Office is responsible for the managing and assignments of individuals on the Weekender/Work Release and Community Service programs. This office also provides fingerprinting for hiring purposes for other governmental agencies.

FINANCE:
The Finance Office is responsible for all financial issues related to inmates detained in the Lubbock County Detention Center. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Administrative Sergeant.

RECORDS:
The Records Office is responsible for providing information to various parties. They provide record checks on inmates for various law enforcement agencies. They are responsible for open records requests and provide background checks to different agencies. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Administrative Sergeant.

TDC COORDINATOR:
The TDC Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice admissions office for transfer of Lubbock County Detention Center inmates to TDCJ facilities. The TDC Coordinator is responsible for all paperwork associated with inmates being transferred to TDCJ. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Administrative Sergeant.

JAIL POPULATION MANAGER:
The Jail Population Manager provides assistance to the Jail Administrator in controlling and managing the inmate population. The Jail Population Manager also works closely with the Judicial System of Lubbock County to develop and maintain operational practices which streamline the processing of inmates. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Administrative Sergeant.

GRIEVANCE OFFICE:
The Grievance Officer is responsible for picking up all inmate grievances, request, and complaints and routing them to the correct Supervisor for a response. The Grievance Officer is also responsible for ensuring inmates receive notices of court appointed counsel. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Administrative Sergeant.

AUDITING:
The Auditing Officers perform various duties, such as, auditing inmate files, processing all paperwork from the Judicial System, assisting inmates in taking care of outstanding local tickets, and calculating time when inmates have been sentenced or adjudicated. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Administrative Sergeant.

The Auditing Office operates Monday through Friday. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays they operate from 8:00A.M. – 5:00P.M. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays they operate from 9:00A.M. – 6:00P.M.

LAW LIBRARY OFFICE:
The Law Library Officer is responsible for maintaining disciplinary reports and proceedings on inmates who violate the Facility rules in accordance with Texas Jail Standards. The Law Library Officer is also responsible for providing legal supplies to indigent inmates and maintaining a schedule for inmates who qualify to use the Law Library. The Officer maintains the book carts for the inmates and makes sure they are stocked. This office is overseen by the Director of Logistics and the Administrative Sergeant.
